The new computer parts are ordered. All things being good and well in the world, they will be here on Wednesday.

My sister Kim is in the hospital, and may be having her baby soon.

I have a splitting headache, and I’m going to go back into my room and watch the news for a bit so that, hopefully, it will go away and I can play some WoW.

That is all.

Fun Phone Calls

I have to admit, I really enjoy saying the following when I make a call.

“Hi. I’m going to be paying off my balance in full next week. I need to get the payoff amount.”

The meeting is set for 4PM on Monday. There is a 3 day waiting period in which I can cancel if I wish to, so I’ll get my checks on Thursday. Tonight I have to compile a list of recipients and the amounts they are being paid, then figure out how much I’m taking out for myself.

I’m so excited. I’m going to be paying off everyone and everything, including my student loan and my back taxes. In the end I’ll be making a monthly payment that is about the equivalent of my current debt consolidation payment. A hell of a trade off.

I’ll have to reconfigure my budget for 2005 this weekend. It’s going to include money into savings. I’m going to stop taking money out of my SEP account every pay period.

I am about to press the financial reset button, and it’s a great feeling.

AND I’m getting a new computer.

Yeah, boyee!

So last night I finally had a bit of a breakdown over the whole R. situation. Apparently I’ve been a bit of a grump the last few days, and I’ve been snapping quite a bit. This finally erupted into a fight with K. Once we got that sorted out we started talking about what was going on in my head, and I ended up having a little cry while she held me.

She said a lot last night that made sense. Things about G_d and the universe. Things that are making me think. A lot.

Don’t ever fool yourself into thinking otherwise, folks. Her wisdom in certain things is great indeed, and it’s yet another thing I love about her.

I applied for graduation today.

The final semester starts Monday.

Her first semester starts Monday.

I think that’s kind of cool.

Heading off to lunch. Have a good one, my friends.

The Good : The loan was approved. I should be getting the check on Monday.

The Bad : R. is not doing well on chemo.

The Ugly : Apparently there is a 10% chance of survival with this type of cancer.

Yippee.

And my efforts to entertain myself with WoW have failed miserably. I’m dying a lot.

So it goes.

Good News Update

The house appraised exactly where I guessed it would, which is kind of odd. The loan officer has to get it approved, and the managers are out of the office until Thursday. Once that happens, though (and he sees no reason why it shouldn’t), all is a go.

We should be signing on Monday.

It’s a load off of my shoulders for sure. Just wish I could be more enthused about it right now.
