…but it looks like I’m going to be in Las Vegas from June 19th – 25th for a MySQL training seminar. It’s all approved on this end, I’m just waiting to hear back from the MySQL people about payment methods for the class. I’ll be staying at The Golden Nugget.

I guess it’s just an odd coincidence, but yesterday I pointed out a bird I had never seen before to netgoth and frith_lord after it started using our new bird feeder. It was really quite pretty, but none of us had any real clue as to what it was. Today there was a picture of that type of bird on the front page of the St. Petersburg Times Floridian section.
I’ll bet my co-workers think I’m musically retarded.
Nothing like good music to make the day flow. Got some O-Zone action going on to start the day, and now I’m just relaxing to classical music.
Another round has begun. This morning I looked up at my desk, and the massive amount of dust on top of it, and said “Which of those things really means something to you, looks amazing, or is worth something?”
The dust catchers that did not fit any of those criteria are gone.
It’s funny, really. I went through this frenzied toy buying frenzy a few years ago. Had hundreds of them. Opened them all and proceeded to put them on a shelf and forget about them. I’m really trying to figure out just what exactly I was trying to accomplish. Reclaiming my childhood? Trying to impress geek chicks? Trying to look cool to my geek friends? All of the above?
I dunno. I just know that now they are not serving whatever purpose they originally had. So they’re gone.
