Mmm…taste the righteous indignation…

Well, I did it. I went and got myself involved in a debate on Live Journal that is probably going to devolve into a flame war. Damnit. See, here’s the deal. I read the community for the Something Positive web comic. Earlier today someone posted a link to a post that was made in the childfree community.

I’ve expressed my feelings on this community in the past. Despite their objections to the contrary, I find the majority of the posts here to be mean-spirited, nasty, and rude – even though I have been told repeatedly that my child would not be the object of scorn there.

Why, you ask, is this the case? Well, I’ll show you. I’m going to post something here from the above post with the language slightly changed.

We feel about our pets the way most people feel about those jigaboos.

Radical? Yeah, maybe. I’ll own up to possibly being a bit too thin skinned about this particular issue. I just don’t see any difference in it, personally.

I’d write more about this, but I’m working and it’s already taking too much of my time on the original thread. See the rest of my logic there, if you’re interested.

Post about real life stuff and the rescue of a duck later…stay tuned…

More silly link postings

Because if I bitch too much about still not having power I’m sure that someone is going to call me dirty names.

Yeah.

So. Like TiVo? Like Netflix?

Looks like they are teaming up.

This is truly amazing. I’ve thought for the longest time that both services were worth every penny – just not for me. I don’t sit down in front of my television enough to actually get any kind of value out of additionaly monthly fees. That’s why I buy my movies. If I only watch one movie a month (and more often than not it’s less than that), then I might as well actually own it as opposed to paying the same amount in a monthly fee. For people who watch more often than I do, though, these services are priceless. Combine them? Wow. Instant download of the movies in your que instead of having to wait for them in the mail?

The digital age is damned nifty.

It’s craptacular! Click on the "View Larger Image" link and check out the pilot
