The one thing I know for sure about the year I was born is that my birthday, November 7th, 1972, was the day that Richard Nixon was elected for his second term as President of the United States of America in an absolute landslide. The only President who has done better in modern times was Ronald Reagan in 1984 (which happened the day before my birthday).

I really hate having my birthday so close to election day, especially in the last few election cycles. Really puts a damper on the whole thing when the president-elect in that year turns out to be a total douchebag.
